In this concert, an hour-long recital in the newly stabilised chapel of Abney Park Cemetery, Ishirini have been inspired by the music and writings of the hymn writer Isaac Watts, who is fundamentally connected to the park. His hymns will be interspersed with pieces by Purcell, Byrd, Howell and others setting the same and related texts.
