Ishirini travels to Poland joining the Polish choir Strzyzowski Chor Kameralny.
The tour comprises two joint concerts in Rzeszow and Krakow, featuring music sung by each choir and some joint pieces.
Ishirini’s repertoire celebrates the two ages of Elizabeth in this Diamond Jubilee year. From the intricacy and serenity of Renaissance music, represented by Byrd, Sheppard and White, we also include the most contemporary music, one of which was written by one of the tenors of the choir, Alan Charlton. As is customary for our tours, one of the pieces we sing will be an entirely new commission written by one of the members of Ishirini, Owen Leech.
