Join us for a musical journey across centuries and cultures in St Mary's, Netherbury. From the serenity of Allegri's Miserere to Howells' stunning response to the death of JFK Take Him Earth for Cherishing, Ishirini explores a range of moods and musical styles. The concert will feature a rare performance of the 13th Century Netherbury Manuscript, discovered amongst dust and birds’ nests under the floorboards of the clock chamber of the church in 1964. The manuscript contains one of the earliest examples of English polyphony; the tower of St Mary’s harboured a unique piece of musical heritage for hundreds of years!
