Back from tour
Back home exhausted after a tour that couldn't have gone better. We were so generously hosted by our friends in Upendo choir - we're very keen for a return visit some time soon. Our one aim for the future is to sing a single concert according to the programme we have set out at the beginning - the audiences were so involved in the music - more details soon...
Final preparations for tour underway
The excitement is reaching fever-pitch, bags are (mostly) packed - some of our contingent are already in Tanzania, and the rest are leaving for tomorrow. Thanks to everyone for all your support and good wishes!
Inaugural concert a great success
Our inaugural concert, Sing Joyfully, where we were joined by the Furaha choir was deemed a great success by our audience. It was also a wonderful opportunity for the choir to meet up for the first time before our upcoming tour to Tanzania, now approaching ever faster - we leave on the 27th of March.

Tickets are now on sale for Sing Joyfully, on February 22nd at 2pm in Queens' College Chapel. We're offering a 50% discount if you buy them through this website.
Ishirini to be joined by Furaha choir
At their upcoming concert on the 22nd of February Ishirini is delighted to announce they will be joined by London-based Tanzanian choir Furaha.
Inaugural concert
Ishirini's inaugural concert will take place on the 22nd of February 2009 in Queens' College Chapel, Cambridge. Thanks to the Dean for the use of the chapel.
Dates of tour fixed
The dates of the tour have been fixed as 27th of March to the 4th of April 2009.
Ishirini named
We have now decided on the name for our choir, due to tour Tanzania next year. After some brainstorming, we came up with the name Ishirini, Swahili for twenty, to reflect the size of choir we hope to have!
