Punting and the rest

Spent the morning at the Phoenix Centre in Fulbourn, a residential unit for young people with eating disorders. Upendo's visit brought a bright ray of sunshine to the group. These young people  were predictably reluctant to dance, but at the last minute as Upendo were begged to sing one more song... amazingly they all jumped up to dance. Such is the power of Upendo's incredible charisma and infectious music.

The afternoon was a chance to enjoy the sights of Cambridge. Brightly dressed in their performance costumes, Upendo huddled by the Cam under a grey and drizzling English sky. It took a quarter of an hour to persuade the reluctant singers to board the punts, but they very quickly entered into the spirit of it, with loud shouts, laughter and lots of back-seat advice for those who were brave enough to try driving the punts.
